Purifi The (5ch) Build

Now deprecated to the rebuilt version Purifi The (5ch) ReBuild

Attempting to repurpose the back panel from previous build by trying to overlay a layout using the larger previous holes.

Not quite the layout I wanted. Filled some extra holes with screws for show. Going to try a full isolation switch between RCA and XLR inputs.

My first from scratch PCB design to actual board 🙂 Tried to make the HV rails wider than the others, and produce with 2oz copper.
Broke a connector on the ribbon cable whilst adding the male extender, so 5 channel testing out of the window today. Parts ordered. Second attempt resulted in pins 9/10 shorting. Fortunately, they were /FAULT and GND, so no damage done.
Testing two channels and some interesting UK beer 🙂

Modushop now do chrome anti vibration feet.

Instead of fixed length cables and trying to add a male extender etc, opted to just use some unterminated funky cable and use a vice. Tested each plug on the cable. All working now.

Wiring all in, will need a tidy up. Tested all channels with both RCA and XLR via connector, everything working. Time to move it to the other system.

A few hours running in on 5 channels, not getting warm yet.
