Mains testing the Toroidy Transformers feeding Power-686 modules with a soft startup board and inline Bulb tester. Theory being, if the bulb stays on after power up then there is a short circuit. Otherwise, the bulb will give a quick flash and go out.
Test is okay, and first voltage check reveals a slightly higher voltage than the expected ~36 vdc (due to no load being applied). Negative okay too. Now the other side.
After turning off the mains power, the capacitors are still fully charged and only discharge very slowly (Danger !)
