A project to provide external amplification for my 5.x.4 system using the Purifi Eigentakt modules.
Eigentakt (meaning “self-clocking”) are manufactured by Danish company Purifi Audio and designed by Belgian designer Bruno Putzeys.
Current Status: Project Complete
My Denon X6400 is now just using the pre-outs (no amps) so have switched it to Eco mode: On, now the Denon is super cool, no longer running extremely hot. There is no Amp off on this model, so next stop a pre-processor.
Haven’t compared the Modulus 686 build with the 1ET400A yet. Doubt whether I will be able tell the difference 🙂 Really need to drive the Modulus with a source with XLR connections (Next project)
