Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Welcome to my article on the building of an Audio Power Amplifier, constructed mainly from circuit boards from Neurochrome Audio<\/a>. This is more of a photo blog account of my build and not a tutorial as such. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I first built a project based on the LM3886 from an article from circuitbasics.com,<\/a> which included references to Tom Christiansen<\/a> and that led me to the Neurochrome boards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Decided on a dual mono block design requiring the follow parts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 x Modulus 686 SMD Pre-Populated PCB<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 x Power 686<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 x Guardian 686<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 x Intelligent Soft Start (ISS)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 x Toroidy TTSAS0400 – SUPREME AUDIO grade transformer <\/a>TSAS400VA –Output voltage: 2 X 25 V; Mounting pad: Side-wiring plate<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 x Deluxe 4U Aluminum ( DIYDX-4U300-A ) Modushop<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 x IEC Power Inlet<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 x CMC-858MU Gold plated<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 x NEUTRIK XLR Connector<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 x 12v Trigger socket<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 x Front Panel RGB Pushbutton Switch<\/a> (Not recommended as it’s LED are 24v)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
